Significant changes to  Pennsylvania’s Child Protective Services Law went into effect in 2015.  In keeping with the changes to the law and to demonstrate the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s continued commitment to protect the children entrusted to our care,  The  Policy for the Protection of Children and Young People has been updated.
 
This new policy will directly impact anyone who wishes to work or serve as a volunteer in our school.  As a part of our Safe Environment Program, all school volunteers, as well as staff, must undergo criminal and child abuse background checks and attend the required classes prior to starting their activities in the school.  This is true even if you plan on volunteering just one time, such as chaperoning a class trip.
